This article reviews existing treaties involved in the non-proliferation regime. Specifically in relation to the Non-Proliferation Treaty, existing nuclear postures are reviewed in the present economic context. If the world cannot be freed from nuclear and radiological weapons as well as their vectors in the near future, recommendations are proposed to limit existing stockpiles of warheads and fissile material. This paper has been written in a series of Focus Papers comprising other proliferation issues as well as a research paper in the same field of research.
